PROSTHESES

 PROSTHESES

Our teeth play a major role in the chewing function. If we talk about tooth loss, we have suffered loss of teeth on our teeth as well as the negative health signs experienced in other parts of our body over the years.

Prosthetic teeth come into play at this point. Tooth losses can be removed with different types of prosthesis depending on the number of losses;

Fixed Dentures
Fixed prostheses are types of prostheses which are perceived as the patient's own teeth or teeth which are fixed to the adjacent teeth due to loss of teeth. Crowns or bridges where tooth deficiencies are completed on a single tooth are called fixed dentures.

Crowns
Tooth damage due to caries or trauma in some cases leads to loss of a large part of the tooth and weakening of the tooth. To strengthen the tooth in terms of durability, it must be coated with metal, ceramic or full ceramic restorations. This coating, which restores the shape, color and function of the tooth, is called crown.
